JOB TITLE:       Systems & Applications Technician
REPORTS TO: IT Manager
LOCATION:      Required to live in Reno County
TYPE:               Full Time

Job Summary / Overview:
Responsible for providing help desk computer support, electronic health records (EHR) application support, and supplementary network administration as assigned by the IT Manager. Provide end-user support for hardware and software applications and collaborate with our managed service provider (MSP). The ideal candidate can work both in a team environment and independently, demonstrating solid troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude.

Essential Duties:

Technical Support:

  • Respond to incident and request tickets in a timely fashion and document all related activities.
  • Provide laptop and desktop PC support for users with equipment running Windows, Chromebook, iOS, and Mac operating systems.
  • Complete lifecycle maintenance of PC systems by imaging and deploying new replacement systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve all PC, application, and network-related issues, including hardware failures, operating system errors, software compatibility issues, network connectivity, and EHR application issues.
  • Provide specialized support for EHR applications, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any EHR-specific issues promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve all IT-related equipment issues, including hotspots, office phones, cell phones (iOS & Android), printers, scanners, docking stations, monitors, webcams, tablets, etc.

System Administration:

  • Monitor, manage, and update IT systems (e.g., push patches, provide remote support, and monitor system health and information).
  • Manage domain user accounts and domain computers via Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Provide support for all Office 365 applications.
  • Manage and document all incoming and current hardware and peripherals.
  • Prepare and document all end-of-life equipment for proper disposal.
  • Image and prepare new systems for all PSHC team members.
  • Provide after-hours systems checks and updates when applicable.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA) or

Associates Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or MIS preferred
